She was reading in the library at four yesterday afternoon.
They were playing basketball on the playground from four to six last Friday.
2. The elapsed time of the time period, such as from 7: 00 to 9: 00 yesterday morning.
3. This past time, such as this time ten days ago.
4. Past time of whole/whole time unit, such as yesterday morning or last Wednesday afternoon.
(5) When and during .
1. When
When he came in, she was reading.
When she was working in the field, her son was playing nearby.
2. When
While she was reading, he came in.
While she was working in the field, her son was playing nearby.
I was drinking some coffee this time last Sunday.
I didn't drink coffee at this time last Sunday.
Were you drinking coffee at this time last Sunday?
What were you drinking at this time last Sunday?
