这节课的主要语法是间接引语。

我们可以把引用别人的话归纳为两种方式。一种是直接引用别人的话，放在引号里，另一种是用自己的语言转述别人的话，称为间接引语，一般构成宾语从句。

1、如何改变人？

普通话：一个跟主，一个跟客，第三个人不更新。

“跟主语”是指当直接引语变成间接引语时，如果从句中的主语是第一人称或者被第一人称修饰。从句中的人称应该根据主句中主语的人称而变化。比如：

She said, "My brother wants to go with me." She said her brother wanted to go with her.

“而随宾”是指从直接引语到间接引语的变化，如果从句中的主语和宾语是第二人称。或者由第二个人来装饰你。从句中的人称应与引号外主句的宾语一致。如果引号外的主句没有宾语。也可以用第一人称，如：

He said to Kate, "How is your sister now?" He asked Kate how her sister was then.

“第三人称不更新”是指直接引语变成间接引语。如果条款中的主语和宾语都是第三人或者被第三人修饰，条款中的人称一般不需要改变。比如：

Mr. Smith said, "Jack is a good worker." Mr Smith said that Jack was a good worker.

2.如何改变时态

当直接引语变为间接引语时，时态需要相应调整。

现在时需要改成过去时；将过去时改为完成时；过去完成时保持原时态。比如：

1) She said, "I lost a pen." She said that she had lost a pen.

She said, "We hope so." She said they hoped so.

She said, "He will go to see his friends." She said that he was going to see his friend.

但是要注意以下几种情况。当直接引语变成间接引语时，时态一般不变。

(1)直接引语是客观真理。

"The earth goes around the sun and the moon goes around the earth," the teacher told me. The teacher told me that the earth goes around the sun and the moon goes around the earth.

直接引语是过去进行时，时态不变。比如：

Jack said, "John, where are you going when I meet you in the street?" ? When Jack met John in the street, he asked him where he was going.

(3)直接引语中有过去年月日的具体状语，变成间接引语时时态不变。比如：

Xiao Wang said,' I was born on April 20, 1980.' Xiao Wang said that he was born on April 20th, 1980.

(4)直接引语如果是简单现在时。表示重复发生的或习惯性的动作，变成间接引语，保持时态不变。比如：

He said, "I get up at six every morning." He said that he got up at six every morning.

如果直接引语中的情态动词没有过去式形式(例如，应该，最好，习惯于)并且已经是过去式形式，

(for example, maybe, should, will, maybe) will not change. Such as:

Peter said, "You'd better come here today." Peter said I'd better go there that day.

3.如何改变状语

直接引语变成间接引语，状语变化有其内在规律。时间状语由“现在”改为“原来”(比如现在变成了那时，昨天变成了前天)，特别有方向性。

或者用指示代词修饰的状语，从“this”改为“that”(如this改为that)，如：

He said, "These books are mine." He said those books were his.

4.如何改变句型

如果直接引语是一个陈述句，间接引语应该变成一个受其引导的宾语从句。比如：

She said, "Our bus will arrive in five minutes." She said that their bus would arrive in five minutes.

(2)如果直接引语是反问句、选择问句或一般问句，间接引语应改为由是否if引导的宾语从句。比如：

He said, "John, can you swim?" He asked John if he could swim.

"You have finished your homework, haven't you?" My mother asked. My mother asked me if I had finished my homework.

Do you go to school by bus or by bike? He asked me whether to go to school by bus or by bike.

(3)如果直接引语是特殊疑问句，间接引语要改成疑问代词或疑问副词引导的宾语从句(宾语从句必须是陈述句序)。比如：

She asked me, "When do they have dinner?" She asked me when they would eat.

如果直接引语是祈使句，间接引语应改为tell(询问、命令、乞求等。)sb。(不)做某事。比如：

"Don't make noise," she said to the children. She told (ordered) the children not to make noise.

如果直接引语是Let's开头的祈使句，变成间接引语时，一般用“暗示动词(或从句)”。比如：

He said, "Let's go to the movies." He suggested going to the movies.

或

He suggested that they should go to see the film.
