Some recently completed projects that were undertaken at the university include the creation of 3-D aligned nanofibers for neural engineering or the development of a Dendrimer based drug delivery system for cancer patients, and an ongoing project is the creation of a theranostic device design for the early detachment and treatment of those with pancreatic cancer specifically.
In 2012, software company Tata Consultancy services set a new world record for the largest recruitment from a single campus, hiring 1,755 students directly from SASTRA.
