Study at BSU is divided into two terms, excepting the Faculty of Medicine, in which each class goes for 15 weeks, leading up to an exam at the end of this period.
There are three campuses, one at the entrance of the city, one in the east on the Nile, and a new campus on 300 acres, also in the east on the Nile. These include a library, housing and various sports facilities.
The BSU logo is made up of three images: the Maydoum Pyramid, one of Beni-Suef’s landmarks, which symbolises ancient Egyptian civilisation and history; the Nile River, symbolising the main artery of life in Egypt; and an ear of wheat, which is one of the most important crops grown in the Beni-Suef area and as such is a symbol of agricultural development.
